How a viral dessert trend, an existing recipe, and the right timing combine into a PR story — our first move for Oatly.

Mango Sticky Rice is everywhere right now. Open Instagram and you'll see Bangkok nostalgia and the creamy Thai dessert in what feels like every other post.A trend that fuels itself, and exactly the right window for smart PR work.

Since the beginning of 2026, we've been supporting Oatly with media relations. One of our first moves immediately shows how we think.

Existing assets, right moment

The Oatly Mini Drop Lookbook already contains a fitting recipe: Mango Sticky Rice as a slushie drink. No new shoot, no lengthy approval cycles. Existing material meets the right moment, and the story writes itself.

Gerade scheint ganz Instagram kollektiv Mango Sticky Rice zu vermissen. Zwischen Bangkok-Posts und Rückkehr Momenten taucht überall das thailändische Lieblingsdessert auf: süße Mango, cremige Kokosmilch und warmer Klebreis. Ein Klassiker, der gerade ein kleines Comeback erlebt.

Passend dazu haben wir im aktuellen Oatly Mini Drop Lookbook ein Rezept, das den Dessert-Trend kurzerhand ins Glas bringt: Mango Sticky Rice als Slushie Drink. Kühl, cremig und überraschend einfach.

Zutaten
200 ml Oatly Barista Edition
50 ml Kokosmilch
50 g Sticky Rice (vorgekocht und abgekühlt)
50 g Mangopüree
10 g Zucker
250 g Eis

Zubereitung
Oatly Barista Edition, Kokosmilch, Sticky Rice und Zucker zusammen mixen.
Eis hinzufügen und erneut mixen, bis eine Slushie-Konsistenz entsteht.
Mangopüree ins Glas geben und die Slushie-Mischung darauf gießen.
