Data protection information for applicants

We are pleased that you are interested in us and that you are applying or have applied for a position in our company. We would like to provide you with information below on the processing of your personal data in connection with your application.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA PROCESSING?

The person responsible in terms of data protection law is
Schröder and Schömbs Public Relations GmbH
Torstraße 107
10119 Berlin
You can find further information about our company, details of authorized representatives and other contact options in our legal notice on our website: https://schroederschoembs.com/impressum

WHICH DATA ABOUT YOU DO WE PROCESS? AND FOR WHAT PURPOSES?

We process the data that you have sent us in connection with your application in order to check your suitability for the position (or any other open positions in our companies) and to carry out the application process.

WHAT IS THE LEGAL BASIS FOR THIS?

The legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is primarily Section 26 BDSG as applicable from 25.05.2018. According to this, the processing of data necessary in connection with the decision to establish an employment relationship is permitted.
Should the data be required for legal prosecution after completion of the application process, data may be processed on the basis of the requirements of Article 6 GDPR, in particular to pursue legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our interest then consists in asserting or defending claims.

HOW LONG IS THE DATA STORED?

In the event of a rejection, data from applicants will be deleted after 6 months or, if there is an unclear place of jurisdiction, after 9 months.
If you have agreed to further storage of your personal data, we will add your data to our pool of applicants. There, the data is deleted after two years.
If you have been accepted for a position as part of the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our personnel information system.
Which recipients will the data be passed on to?
We use a specialized software provider for the application process. He acts as a service provider for us and may also become aware of your personal data in connection with the maintenance and care of the systems. We have concluded a so-called order processing contract with this provider, which ensures that data processing is carried out in a permissible manner.
Your applicant data will be reviewed by the HR department after receipt of your application. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to department managers for each open position. The rest of the process is then coordinated. In principle, only people in the company have access to your data who need it to properly complete our application process.

WHERE IS THE DATA PROCESSED?

The data is processed exclusively in data centers in the Federal Republic of Germany.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A “DATA SUBJECT”

You have the right to information about the personal data we process about you.
In the event of a request for information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may then require you to provide evidence that you are the person you claim to be.
You also have the right to correct or delete or restrict processing, insofar as you are legally entitled to do so.
You also have the right to object to processing within the framework of legal requirements. The same applies to a right to data portability.
